“ We enjoyed our dinner at Mimo, everything was delicious! We started with the Pane which is a skillet bread and it arrived to the table HOT! So so delish! We ordered the Fettuccine and the Gnocchi and they were very flavorful. We both enjoyed our dishes and will definitely be back. It’s a great little neighborhood spot perfect for date night or a celebration. The dining room is cute and they have a great selection of wines. I definitely recommend giving them a try! ”

“ I'll admit, I was skeptical because of location but please do not that let that stop you from enjoying this quaint lil restaurant. Mimo was such a treat! We had the prosciutto de pare, clam pasta and fettuccine with red sauce. Houston has pretty good italian but this took me back to dishes we loved in Rome. Rustic and fresh. Sierra, our waitress was great. I'll definitely be back. ”

“ Super cute place inside. The service was great. Nicole took great care of us! We were full before we could make it to the third course! We started with the pane, then the sweet potato followed by some prawns. We got the gnocchi and Brussels sprouts and then finished the whole meal with a fresh tiramisu. We made a reservation, but on this Thursday evening, it didn’t seem like it was needed. ”

“ My boyfriend and I came in to check out Mimo since we had heard of it but hadn't had a chance to try it yet. We were quickly greeted and seated, and they even brought out an amazing cannellini bean amuse bouche. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but we managed to narrow down our selections to just a few plates with the help of our server, Ethan. He recommended the carrot pizzette and the lamb chops with house labneh. Both were absolutely amazing, but the lamp chops were the stand out for us. We will definitely be back! ”

“ Mimo felt like a restaurant we visited in Florence about twenty years ago. Same color scheme, great recipes expertly prepared, and slightly dim lighting (so please forgive the flash photography!). Everything was truly excellent, and just a little bit unexpected. Each dish tasted Italian and looked Italian, and each was just a little different than any dish I’ve ever had before. We started with the amuse buche, then radicchio salad (Insalata de la Casa) where unexpectedly the veg was literally all radicchio. Hubby was not as enamored as I was, but I thoroughly enjoyed the bitter leaves offset by the slightly sweet creamy coating of the sauce. Point and counterpoint, yumm. Next the first and second plates were served together, which felt a touch fast for the Italian style, but was just as well since I like to eat all my food together. We enjoyed the Lamb Pappardelle and the fish of the day, a grilled Rainbow Trout. The trout came on a bed of wilted broccolini with a subtle tomato and broth sauce. We supplemented with still more broccolini on the side, because I can never get enough, especially when it is generously dosed with Parmigiano Reggiano. We closed with a cappuccino and truffles, though I have recently been informed it is slightly outre to drink cap after seven pm, I work on the principle that it is five o’clock somewhere! ”

“ Simply perfect: Valentines dinner was delicious and the server wasn’t hushing us asking how the food was or with our choices (thanks Nicole, you’re the best!) - this is the first place where we can enjoy calmly our meals and have a conversation. As I said, the food is pretty good - the pasta is a must have! ”

“ Came to try the pizza and was totally blown away by all of the food!!! The pane was delicious and light seasoned perfectly. The ricotta appetizer was delicious but very heavy on onions. So be aware. The special pizza of r here evening was calabrese and was really good. Nice Napoli fold on the crust! Good sauce that wasn’t too sweet. Desserts were great!! Almond biscotti was amazing!! Latte was a really good coffee!! Amour server was delightful and very attentive. We felt right at home and no rushed at all. Will be back! The menu has so many items we want to try! ”

The pizzetta was perfectly crispy, and the zeppole were a delicious way to end the meal. The service was excellent attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend! ”
